Hitting the Ground Running New Members Join School Board This Week

"The Moore County Board of Education is bound for an interesting dynamic following the November general election. While technically not a partisan institution — there are no “Rs” or “Ds” on the ballot — the board has leaned decidedly conservative for the last two years.

Newly elected members Amy Dahl, Robin Calcutt and Steve Johnson stand to shake up the decision-making process at the Central Office. All career educators, the new cohort are no strangers to the classroom, but they are new to the board room and will bring different lines of thinking."
